GETTING HERE
& PARKING

Planning your visit? Here’s everything you need to know about transport options, parking, and accessibility to make your journey to Riviera Beach Club as smooth as possible.

RIDESHARE / TAXI ZONES

Due to the anticipated high use of the roads around the venue for patron safety, the designated vehicle drop-off zone is located off Marine Parade as you turn into the venue (and loops back to Marine Parade). Only correctly identified taxi and rideshare vehicles will be allowed access. THIS IS A ONE WAY drop off loop ONLY. There is no general public parking within the Marina complex.

We encourage you to also consider dropping off along Dickens St (or surrounding streets) and walking across to the venue at the pedestrian lights.

PUBLIC DROP OFF & PICK UP

The designated Drop Off and Pick Up zone will ONLY be allowed off Marine Parade as you turn into the venue near the BP.

Though it is also recommended pickup / drop off on Dickens St to ensure your Uber doesn’t get held/stuck in congestion of the BP.

Please avoid dropping off on Marine Parade. Ubers found doing this will be referred to Vic Police.

TRAMS

No. 16 tram from Swanston Street, (which takes around 25 minutes) & get off at Luna Park/The Esplanade (Stop #138) and walk 15 mins to the St Kilda Marina.

Or catch the No. 96 from Bourke Street, or No. 12 from Collins Street (around 25 minutes) to St Kilda; No. 3 from Swanston Street to Carlisle Street (around 35 minutes) and Alma Road (around 40 minutes).

Then take a 15-minute walk to the St Kilda Marina.

Trams run approximately every 10 minutes between 5.30am and 1.30am.

TRAINS

Or catch the 67 Carnegie train from Federation Square/Swanston St to Barkley Street. Then catch the 246 Elsternwick to Meredith/Barkly St.

Then take a 9-minute walk to the St Kilda Marina.

PARKING

Very limited parking is available in St Kilda and Elwood, with many of the streets only providing for residents only. Parking Inspectors are out in numbers across all municipalities especially on the weekends and public holidays.

PARKING FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

Parking for people with a disability is a genuine priority for both the promoter(s) and Riviera Beach Club. To access this service, you must have an accessibility sticker on your vehicle and email info@rivierabeachclub.com.au in advance to arrange or for any other disability related queries, this offer also extends to pregnant women and on event day if concerns need to be raised relating to patrons with restricted abilities.

Accessible Parking cannot be organised on event day.

The car park will be operational between the hours of 2.00pm – 10.30pm.

There is a dedicated toilet for people with a disability to the right of the main stage. This is ONLY for patrons with a disability and their carer.

EVENT INFORMATION
& POLICIES

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS & SECURITY

All patrons must have actual valid photo ID in the physical form of:

  • Valid Australian (or International Equivalent) Driver’s license or learner permit,
  • Valid Passport or State/Territory proof of age cards

Patrons will be required to have their identification checked, bags searched, tickets scanned and issued an appropriate wristband.

The right to refuse entry to any person is at the sole discretion of the event organiser, the venue or any agent acting on behalf of the organiser. ID scanners will also be in use.

There are STRICTLY NO PASS OUTS (Exit and Re-entry).

Last entry to the event is 9.00pm

PROHIBITED ITEMS

  • Portable seating of any kind
  • Tables, esky’s or coolers, tents or sun shelters
  • Alcohol, illicit and synthetic drugs
  • Umbrellas
  • Flags, Signage and or Political text of any kind.
  • Prescription drugs that are not in original container and without the pharmacy stickers issued in the name of the ticket holder
  • Glass containers
  • Liquids other than lotions (empty water bottles are permitted)
  • Professional Audio /Visual Recording Devices (excluding mobile phones and go pros). NO Drones.
  • Flags & Poles
  • Promotional materials- stickers & flyers
  • Weapons or dangerous items including Laser pointers or selfie sticks
  • Flares & Fireworks (or confetti/streamers)
  • Bicycles, skateboards, surfboards, hoverboards, scooters or personalised motor vehicles.
  • Animals (excluding authorised guide dogs)

 

Additional items may be prohibited at the discretion of event security guards and or Victoria Police.

All items deemed prohibited excluding illegal substances must be either disposed of or removed from site.

FOOD & BEVERAGE

Food & beverage concessions will be available throughout the venue.

RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL

All licensing, RSA and any other matters relating to the service of alcohol are handled by the licensee and bar operator, Riviera Beach Club. is an 18+ licensed venue. All patrons entering the site must provide photo ID to secure a wristband (which confirms DOB), all person unable to provide ID will be refused entry. Minors may be to be handed to Police. 

VICTORIA POLICE

Police have the right to attend the Riviera and have the right to question and eject patrons from the event, if they are suspected of possessing illegal substances, weapons or contraband.

The venue enjoys a warm relationship with Victoria Police who are very supportive of their events. Patrons should respect police and be compliant with their requests but should also be aware of their rights.

SAFETY & FIRST AID

There will be First Responders stationed for the duration of the event. 

ANY security guard can direct you to First Aid and or escort if required.

By entering the event and using the Venue and Event Medical Services medical facilities, a patron consents to providing access to their medical information in the event of an incident.

SPECIAL PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION REQUIREMENTS

Riviera is committed to maintaining the safety and wellbeing of all persons on site and is aware that a proportion of the festival audience may have a requirement to bring prescribed medicines and or special foods onto site.

To gain entry to the event with special medical requirements, you must ensure the following:

  1. Ensure the medicine is in its original container, with the pharmacy sticker and issued in the name of the ticketholder i.e. DON’T peel the label off or carry someone else’s medication.
  2. Ensure the quantity carried is the minimal required for the duration of the event.
  3. DON’T bring non-essential tablets such as vitamin supplements or over the counter painkillers
  4. Be prepared to be challenged at the gate or in the Event but do not seek to conceal medication

 

NOTE: Patrons without approved medicine in its original container, with the pharmacy sticker and issued in the name of the ticket holder will be unable to enter the event with the medicinal items.

ACCESSIBILITY & MOBILITY IMPAIRED INFORMATION

Upon presentation of a Companion Card, ticket purchasers are entitled to an additional ticket for their respective carer.

The Companion Card must be presented alongside the issued ticket to gain entry to the event.

Wider entry lanes will be available to those in possession of a Disability Card or Companion Card.

Guide Dogs are permitted on festival grounds to valid Disability Card or Companion Card holders.

The event grounds are wheelchair accessible, however please be aware that this is a large outdoor event that may require travelling on varied terrain, both turf and concrete. The grassed areas may become soft and muddy if it rains. Please take extra precaution if this is the case.
